Essential Qualifications
For Disciplines Other Than Veterinary Sciences
Ph.D. (Doctoral Degree) in the relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the relevant field, including:
8 years as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist (or equivalent) in PB-3 (₹15,600–39,100) with Grade Pay of ₹5,400/₹6,000/₹7,000/₹8,000.
2 years as Associate Professor/Senior Scientist (or equivalent) in PB-4 (₹37,400–67,000) with Grade Pay of ₹8,700/₹9,000.
Proven contributions to research, teaching, or extension education, supported by published work, innovations, or demonstrated impact.
For Veterinary Sciences
Recognized Veterinary qualification as per the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, with registration in a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
Master's Degree in the relevant Veterinary Science discipline with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
Must also fulfill the same Ph.D., experience, and research contribution requirements applicable to other disciplines.
Desirable
Experience in teaching and guiding postgraduate students.
Familiarity with modern scientific tools and technological applications in the relevant field.
2. Associate Professor
Preferred Age Limit: Below 50 years
Essential Qualifications
For Disciplines Other Than Veterinary Sciences
Ph.D. (Doctoral Degree) in the relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences.
Minimum 8 years of experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist (or equivalent) in PB-3 (₹15,600–39,100) with Grade Pay of ₹5,400/₹6,000/₹7,000/₹8,000.
Demonstrated contributions to research, teaching, or extension education, supported by published work, innovations, or measurable impact.
For Veterinary Sciences
Recognized Veterinary qualification as per the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, with registration in a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
