About
ICAR-Sponsored Winter School on Agricultural Research and Data Analytics through AI and Machine Learning (Agri-AIM). Faculties and scientists in agriculture and allied disciplines from SAUs/ICAR Institutes/KVKs/other institutions under NARES, possessing a Master’s degree in Agriculture or allied disciplines with working knowledge of computers and working not below the rank of Assistant Professor/Scientist or equivalent in the concerned subject, are eligible to apply.
The 21 days Winter School on “Agricultural Research and Data Analytics through AI and Machine Learning (Agri-AIM)” targets to strengthen the analytical capabilities of faculty members and scientists under the National Agricultural Research and Education System (NARES). The programme will cover statistical methods, data visualization, machine learning, deep learning, geospatial analysis and emerging AI applications, with hands-on training using Python, R and contemporary analytical tools. Through expert lectures, practical exercises, the Winter School will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to apply advanced data analytics for innovative, reliable and sustainable agricultural research.
Objectives
To strengthen participants’ understanding of statistical methods, data analytics Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for agricultural research
To develop practical skills in R and Python programming
To promote the application of data-driven approaches for predictive analysis, research innovation, evidence-based decision-making and sustainable agricultural development.
